We Need Peace
We need Peace … because it is the fertile soil
Within which the rose of happiness can grow
We need peace because it’s pathway is royal
Upon which life’s river delights to flow
We need peace because it’s vastness is the ocean
Large enough for the mighty whale to swim
We need peace because it’s the stage holds up the choir
So the Symphony of Beauty can begin
We need peace because it’s stillness calms the forest
Which allows the breeze to whisper songs that are divine
We need peace because it is the canvas of the one sky
Upon which the sun and stars can truly shine
So let’ s plant peace now
And help it bloom
Breathe it in and breathe it out
Be as still as the moon
Every morning
And each evening too
Water it with your love
And it’s love will water you…
We need peace … because it is the flame that flickers
Even when the raging storm blows gales of force
We need peace because it’s arms always hold us
And allows us to live closely to our source
We need peace because it is the spring where deer sip
When the summer’s heat has made the lake go dry
We need Peace because it is the set of angel’s wings
Upon which our dreams of joy reach high to fly
So Let’ s plant peace now
And help it bloom
breathe it in and breathe it out
Be as still as the moon
Every morning
And each evening too
Water it with your love
And it’s love will water you…
After the dance
After the storm
After the work
Before the new is born…
Behold the Sea of Tranquility.
In a landscape of stillness
And calm gentle ease,
Are memories that reflect
Our hearts like the seas.
As waves are the breath of the waters
So does our own breath to carry us
To the place we are quiet and free.
The far side of our souls
Where bliss awaits now.
We cross on the boats with peace
Written on the stern and the bow.
Here where we find our origin
And the answers we seek.
Clouds part and reveal
An island of light and mountain peak
Where ancient truths and deep mysteries await and abide
And the ever-present guardian in the sky does not hide.
Silently witness the grace of clouds,
As the goddess of the moon
Sends s loving embrace.
Evoking heavenly melodies to pour forth from our temple heart
They echo through the eons
For new dreams to start.
Goddess may you stay and enchant us forever
As we are still, you unveil the door to your treasure.
All who have dared to gaze into this sea
Know of the power of tranquility.
In the mirror of the soul
In the quest for the truth
Is an ageless moment,
Endless joy, eternal youth.
The blooming heart
As it unfolds like a flower
Will bestow the gateway
To the seat of the power.
Where a sweetness and charm
A fragrance calls to just be…
At the shores of the sea
Of Tranquility.
Roots in the Sky
I seek to stay fastened
No false step can untie
My union with celestial bliss
And my roots in the sky
As the earth feeds my body,
The sun feeds soul words,
And my heart dances upon golden clouds
With songs of joyous skybirds
The caress of a breeze
From the hidden hand whence I came
Roots in the sky
Where there is no guilt and no shame.
I reach to the stars
Reassured by heaven’s glow
The rain is the ladder
Towards new heights I grow
Roots in the sky
Above the vast world’s woes
Space and room to think
And for the spirit to show...
And oh..
How I’d like to outstretch my love
To each corner of the earth
As I can up above
and find the first note of the most ancient song
And the first valley and hill to which all birds sing along
And discover the power creation employs
to give to the earth all of the sky’s joys....
and to see the earth detached as I fly
I’m part of creation with my roots in the sky.
Roots and Wings
We plant our roots deep in the ancient soil
So we may spread our wings in the unborn sky
We work along with Nature’s purpose
So our dreams will please the divine eyes
We heal our wounds with timeless wisdom
We point our life towards the light
We find courage to face the mirror
With love we learn to embrace the sight
And if we want the noble life
And taste all the sweetest fruits
We must dig down into the darkness of the earth
And nurture all our hidden roots
Our ancestor’s gifts we rediscover
Tradition’s power unites our hearts
We bond with friends and dreams and lovers
Who challenge all we were bold enough to start
So we lift our eyes to the clouds and stars
So on wings of wonder our dreams take flight
To land upon the tree that Nature placed
Whose roots connect with all of life
And if we want the noble life
And taste all the sweetest truths
We must dig down into the darkness of the earth
And nurture all our hidden roots
Deep in the night
In our dreams of truth
We behold the long lost
Hidden roots
And if we want the sweetest fruits
We must nurture our hidden roots.
Temple of the Goddess
She walks with every woman
Yet in some she dares to dance
And delight men to their highest dream
With just a passing glance
Her patient understanding
A gift she holds holds from birth
She grows and ebbs across the sky
Yet her roots are deep in earth.
In the temple of the goddess
She sings riddles with the rose;
‘When you drink the sacred waters
The fountain overflows’
And from the valley hear her
In the wind she shares a kiss
‘One blessing to the next
Is the way to bliss.’
When you venture to the temple
And see worship her in the moon above,
Feel, as she caresses softly...
Within your heart is her temple of love.
Awakening
Dawn of consciousness,
birthing heart awareness,
stirring from a primordial slumber,
we sleep no more in patterns of self-doubt and rejection.
Instead we rise forward towards the realm of truth and light.
We have contained the dragon sea of nightmares securely behind a rock wall of wisdom and love
So, journeyers, the vista is free and clear for passing....and a new realm awaits to be experienced,
like a brilliant morning pathway beneath a glowing sunrise.
Awaken and find yourself in a world we have imagined into being,
a world we have formed from from visions of the heart...
